Trip to Kashmir

Tirumala

Tirumala  is a small  hill town in Andhra Pradesh,India. It is a well known  divine pilgrim center of Hindus, it is  popularly known as Sri Venkateshwara Swamivaru Temple - which is dedicated for the Supreme God Shri mann Narayana/Maha Vishnu. The Tirumala Hill   comprises seven peaks representing the seven hoods of Adisesha, thus earning the name Seshachalam. The seven peaks are called Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrushabadri, Narayanadri and Venkatadri. The sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara  is located on the seventh peak, Venkatadri (Venkata Hill), and lies on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini. Tirumala is about 26km from Tirupati.

Once in Tirumala, pilgrims can have accommodation in TTD's guest houses. There are many guest houses  available in tirumala which can be accessed by paying a rent of 100,200 300 per day. The guest rooms are clean and tidy.

Tirumala has direct bus services from tirupati with afrequency of every2 minutes.and  also paid taxis and Jeeps available for one who prefer comport while climpbing the hill. The Nearest Railway Station is Tirupati.  Tirupati is well connected to major cities across India, esp. Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. And  the  nearest airport is the Tirupati Airport, about 40 km from the hill top. Tirupati Airport is a domestic airport that has direct flights to Hyderabad, Vizag, Chennai, New Delhi and Bangalore. The airport is located 15 km from the city centre. Closest international airport is located in Chennai which is 130 km from Tirupati.
